Golf event will bring in cash for our heroes

Golfers will help raise money for our boys abroad when the Help for Heroes charity golf day is held on Thursday, April 30.

The tournament has been organised by Medway’s Help for Heroes co-ordinator Steve Craddock.

Last year’s competition raised almost £10,000 for the charity which supports soldiers wounded in war

The tournament will be held at Chart Hills Golf Club, Biddenden. Mr Craddock said: “It is a superb bit of fun, the course is one of the top 30 in Europe.”

Prizes at an auction being held the same day will include a full military experience day for 10 people including firing explosives, bomb searches and bomb disposal.

The team price for this year is £240 and will include the course competitions, breakfast and a two course meal and entertainment.

Singer Shane Hampsheir will provide after dinner entertainment.
