A van with liquid gas on board rolled down a road in Chatham and crashed into a telegraph pole.

Police and fire crews were called to the incident in Dale Street just before lunchtime on Monday which knocked some of the wires on the pole out of place.

The driver of the van, who is believed to be in his 50s, was quickly on the scene.

Because of the presence of gas the firefighters spent around 45 minutes making sure the scene was safe.
