The building had formerly been a cinema, which opened in 1936, and later became a Gala Bingo hall.

Gravesend-based developer Kocak Properties Ltd has applied to redevelop the building, which closed as a pool and snooker club in 2017.

The plans feature a mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats and extending part of the roof.

There would be two parking spaces for disabled people. A storage area for bicycles is also planned.

The flats would have private terraces or balconies.
