The new owners are bringing an expanded menu with a Mediterranean flavour.

Turkish chef Mostafa Ethosary said: "We will be keeping 50% the same, but will be bringing more different types of fish to the table.

"We want to bring some Mediterranean warmth to Strood.

"Apart from the name it will be fresh and new."

Among the new additions are gluten-free fish and chips and Korean chicken burgers with a spicy home made sauce.

The eatery in North Street will be offering take-aways, a delivery service as well as dine-in.

"We cannot wait to serve you our delightful food"

Wills Fish and Grill took over the former Three Gardeners at Angel Corner, Strood more than two years ago.

At the time the new business was welcomed as the historic building had fallen into disrepair and had become an eyesore.

The Grade-II listed site had been boarded up since the hostelry closed more than 10 years ago.

It was given listed status because of its architectural interest as an example of a substantial, detached early 18th century town house.

On the menu will be the old favourites including traditional fish and chips, flame grilled dishes, peri-peri chicken and home-made burgers and pies.

The specials include fillet steak with creamy mushroom sauce and French beans wrapped in bacon and mushy peas.

On its website, the grill posted: "Yes that's right we are re-opening to give you the freshest fish in town. Under new management and with improved services. We cannot wait to serve you our delightful food."
