Fire crews called to two car fires in Gillingham

Firefighters tackled two car fires last night.

Crews were called to put out the first blaze in Lower Twydall Lane, Twydall, at 8.55pm.

They were then called to Star Lane, Gillingham, at 2.23 am this morning.

Firefighters were then called to Sun Lane at 6.38am as a Land Rover had caught fire.

The blaze started in the dash board before spreading to the passenger side.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police was contacted by the fire service at 12.30am on Tuesday, November 10, to a report of a car fire in Lower Twydall Lane, Gillingham.

"Officers are making inquiries to establish if the vehicle was stolen."

KFRS also called the police a 2.51am to report a burnt out vehicle in Star Lane, Gillingham.

They are also making inquiries to see if this vehicle was stolen.
