Firefighters are dealing with a large grass fire in Minster

A member of staff at a primary school in Chatham had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a small fire broke out.

Firefighters were called to St Michael’s Primary in Hills Terrace at around noon today (Wednesday).

The fire in one of the school’s community rooms had been extinguished by the time they got there.

The member of staff was given some oxygen and the crew spent around an hour at the scene.
