She was pulled over after police saw her driving to her home address during the early hours of the morning.

Magistrates were told Coney was of previous good character and when she was given a breath test, she gave a reading of 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit is 35.

Coney, who represented herself, said: “I will lose my job from today.”

The bench also heard she had got herself a new job working in a warehouse for Royal Mail but would not start the job for about six weeks.

Magistrates banned her from driving for 12 months and fined her £370 and ordered she pay £85 costs.
