Chatham man accused of breaching anti-999 Asbo

A man has been charged with breaching an Asbo banning him from making 999 calls unless there is a genuine emergency.

Christopher Ashby, 43, was arrested after allegedly making a non-emergency call to the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Ashby, of Boundary Road, Chatham, was given a two-year Asbo in December 2009.

He was due to appear before Medway magistrates on Monday.

Ashby had been remanded in custody when he appeared before the same court via virtual link last Tuesday, February 22.
