The snow is thought to have caused a car to slide off the road and into a sign last night (Tuesday).

The crash happened at about 10.30pm just outside Strood fire station in Gravesend Road.

Firefighters were able to just walk out of the station to help a female driver who was unharmed but shaken up.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The crash happened shortly after the snow started.

“We went out to assist by making sure the driver was OK and made the vehicle safe, we also move the broken sign off the road.”
