Gillingham man arrested after alleged flasher offences near A2 Sovereign Boulevard and Woodlands Road

An arrest has been made after a man allegedly exposed himself to several women.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a series of indecent exposures were reported near Gillingham Golf Club.

Detectives are investigating several incidents which are said to have taken place close to the A2 Sovereign Boulevard and Woodlands Road.

It is understood to have happened at least four times, between 7.30am and 8.30am, from October 2 until October 4.

Female victims have said they saw a man expose himself and on some occasions he was committing an indecent act.

On October 6, a 24-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and taken into custody.

He has since been bailed with conditions while officers carry out further inquiries.

PC Thabi Hollingsworth, of the Medway vulnerability investigation team, said: “We are treating these incidents as linked and are appealing to anyone who may have information which could assist the investigation to contact us.

“If you walk in this area and have seen anything suspicious but have yet to speak to the police, please don’t hesitate to call us.”
