They carried out a roadside drugs test which showed a positive result for cocaine.

A 24-year-old man from Chatham was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, and was taken into custody before being released pending further investigation.

The roads unit also stopped another car in the town after it was flagged up for not being insured or taxed.

The policy had reportedly been cancelled due to the bill not being paid.

The vehicle was recovered and the driver has been reported for offences.
