Police investigating the cause of a crash in a busy town centre are appealing for witnesses.

The crash happened in Best Street, Chatham, last Wednesday, March 17, at about 12.40pm when a woman in her 40s was hit by a car.

The woman from the Chatham area who has not been named suffered head injuries during the collision.

She was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment and has been released.
