Teenager, 15, arrested for assault at The Hundred of Hoo Academy

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of assault at a secondary school.

Police were called to The Hundred of Hoo Academy in Main Road, yesterday afternoon.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested and has been bailed until Monday, November 30, pending further inquiries.

Parents were sent an email from assistant head teacher Peter Mortley informing them that police had visited the school.

He said: “We would like to reassure you that following a visit from the police this afternoon there is no cause for concern and all pupils have safely left the academy site.”

A police spokesman said: “A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident in Main Road, Hoo.

“He has been bailed until November 30 pending further inquiries.”

The school has been approached for a comment.
