The road is a popular route for those looking to get from Coxheath, Tovil and East Farleigh to Maidstone and vice versa.

The lights led to queues today with one driver saying they waited 20 minutes heading towards Dean Street and said the wait looked longer heading the opposite direction.

The works are likely to affect traffic for the coming days with an estimated completion time around 5pm on Thursday.
