The land is currently grass, with some concrete hard-standing, with trees around the boundary and contains a highways drainage balancing pond, which the applicants say will remain.

Access will be moved from being right on the corner of the junction as currently to a point further down Lunsford Lane.

Eight parking spaces are proposed for the four two-bed flats and one three-bed flat in a three-storey building.

Most of the trees, apart from a few sycamores will remain.

The site already has planning permission for a a five-bedroom detached home that was granted lasts year, which has not been built out.

Three residents have objected to date, concerned about bins on the pavement which is a route used by schoolchildren, about parking and deliveries.

They also point out that almost immediately opposite is another plot of land on the corner with Winterfield Lane that has been given permission for nine homes and offices, that has yet to be built out.

Details of the Lunsford Lane proposal can be seen on the council's website here.
