Maidstone v Tooting & Mitcham

Maidstone United go into their FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round clash with Tooting & Mitcham on a high after consolidating their place among the pace-setters in the Ryman League Premier Division.

The Stones take on their newly-promoted division rivals - who lie five places and three points behind them in the table.

At the same stage last year the Stones despatched Erith & Belvedere 3-0 before a 2-0 defeat at Billericay in the 2nd Qualifying Round.

Kevin Watson could be set for a recall to the squad after missing three games with a back problem while Meshach Nugent is in the mix for a starting place upfront after a bruised foot sustained against Tonbridge last Saturday kept him out of the trip to Boreham Wood on Tuesday.

Winger Keelan Mooney impressed in his first start for the club in north London and could earn another run-out.

Aaron Lacy is the only absentee as he sits out a 35-day suspension.

Alan Walker said: "I would have prefered an easier team but we will know what to expect with them. We will have to take it seriously and there will be do danger of complacency. They are a very, very good side.

“We know a lot about them, they are in better form than we are over the last six games.”
