Stones unveil new director

MAIDSTONE United have named Oliver Ash as their new director after he bought a 25 per cent stake in the club.

Stones chairman Paul Bowden-Brown remains in charge and the major shareholder with a 75 per cent stake.

Ash, 49, is the managing director of a private real estate asset management, development and investment company.

He said: "I have become a supporter of the club since meeting Paul Bowden-Brown last autumn.

"I admire, respect and back his project to build a new ground in Maidstone."

The Stones have also announed that funding for the new stadium at Whatman Way will be submitted to the Football Foundation at the end of April.
