Maidstone v Heybridge Swifts

Maidstone hope to have striker James Pinnock and midfielder Elliot Bradbrook available for the match against Ryman League Premier Division strugglers Heybridge Swifts at Bourne Park on Saturday.

Both men have been sidelined by thigh problems but Stones joint boss Alan Walker is hopeful the pair will be fit for the visit of bottom club Heybridge.

Defenders Ben Lewis and Nathan Paul both look likely to miss the game. Lewis is due to have an injection to cure a back problem while Paul still has a cast on his broken thumb.

Walker admits he and co-boss Lloyd Hume will have to 'drastically' cut their playing budget after the announcement the club has been put up for sale but he hoped some players would remain loyal.

He said: “The most impoirtant thing is the survival of the club and Lloyd and I will be working very hard with the chairman to ensure that we keep the club in healthiest position possible.”

Stones have already said goodbye to Neil Smith who has gone to Croydon Athletic to be No 2 to new boss Tim O’Shea.
