Maidstone United's televised replay against Stevenage will swell FA Cup earnings this season to £130,000.

Co-owner Terry Casey revealed the figure to the Kent Messenger on Tuesday morning.

The money will be spent on extending the East Stand at the Gallagher Stadium as the club look to build a legacy from their FA Cup heroics.

United will receive £33,750 from BT Sport from next Thursday's replay, guaranteeing them £73,750 in TV and prize money, even if they go no further.

Add a sell-out crowd to their share of gate receipts from earlier matches and the club have made a small fortune.

Co-owner Mr Casey said: "From a business perspective, we'll have made £130,000 after the replay.

"That's all going into the East Stand extension, to leave a lasting legacy from our cup run.

"It's welcome money which is broken down from gate money, TV money and prize money.

"If we win that's another £18,000, then there's whatever we'd make from Wrexham in the second round.

"For me as a businessman, the most important factor is the money and you can't move away from that.

"Oliver (Ash, co-owner) and I don't take any money out of the club, so when we generate £130,000, it goes straight back in."
