Stones joint-boss Lloyd Hume says the squad is 'strong'

Halesowen v Maidstone United

The Stones make the long trip to the West Midlands to take on Halesowen in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round with a full-strength squad.

Joint-bosses Alan Walker and Lloyd Hume will be able to call on experienced defenders Kevin Watson and Roland Edge and big striker Meshach Nugent after injury.

Hume said: "We will be strong on Saturday, right through the team and the bench.”

He revealed former Halesowen striker Craig Thompson will be involved after his Stones debut as a sub against Sutton.

Hume said of the BGB Southern League Premier Division opponents: “We have had them watched and they are a very good side but can be inconsistent. It will come down to whoever performs best on the day.

“We have nothing to fear. We will try to stick to our gameplan. I have no doubt if both sides were to perform to their maximum then we would win.

"We have a lot of experienced players and this is the type of game when we need them.”

The Yeltz go into the game on the back of a 1-0 league defeat at Bedford Town on Saturday and a 2-0 loss to Atherstone in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday night.
