A 20-year-old man arrested by Kent police officers has been charged with drug and firearm offences.

Joseph Benjamin Ryan, of Canberra Road, Bexleyheath, was detained in Thamesmead on Friday, October 19.

Ryan was later charged with two counts of possessing a firearm without a certifcate and two counts of possessing ammunition for firearms.

He is also accused of possession with intent to supply cannabis, possessing cocaine with intent to supply, and possession of CS gas.

Ryan appeared at North Kent Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody. He is now due to appear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, December 3.
