Wrong way M20 crash driver's bail extended

A motorist arrested after his passenger died in a wrong-way motorway crash has had his bail extended.

The 37-year-old man, from Orpington, was behind the wheel of his Toyota Corolla which was travelling on the wrong side of the M20 when it collided with another vehicle in March.

Security guard Mohammed Chowdhury, 32 and from London, died at the scene from multiple injuries. His inquest will be held on Tuesday, July 4.

The collision happened just after 3.30am between Junction 4 for West Malling, Rochester and Tonbridge and Junction 3 for Sevenoaks and resulted in the motorway being closed for several hours.

The driver has been rebailed until Thursday, July 27

Detectives want to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the smash.

Officers want to speak with anyone who saw the Corolla in the moments leading up to the crash, or who may have dashcam footage.
