Woman taken to hospital after crash

A woman was cut free from her car after an accident in Tonbridge this morning.

The driver, in her 30s, was travelling along the A21 near Castle Hill when her car overturned after colliding with another vehicle at about 6am.

Two fire crews from Tonbridge used hydraulic equipment to remove the car’s side panel and release the woman.

She was taken to hospital by road ambulance suffering a suspected spinal injury.

Following the accident, the A21 remained closed in all directions between North Farm Roundabout and Tonbridge for more than an hour.

It has since reopened.
