A man suffered head injuries after an alleged assault at a Maidstone home.

Five police cars and one ambulance were called to the house in Loose Road at 4.13pm yesterday.

The incident happened at a property on the Maidstone-bound A229 between the Wheatsheaf and the junction with Armstrong Road/Park Way.

The man was taken to Maidstone Hospital by ambulance with head injuries.

Police are investigating, and a woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
