The bright blue signage has been hung near the LoveFood food hall where the burger-chain operated for years.

It closed years ago and has been vacant ever since, but was recently put on the market in March.

It comes as Maidstone council announces a public consultation to gather the views of people in the town about what attractions and activities should be brought to the complex.

Currently, it is home to Odeon cinema, Hollywood Bowling, Gravity trampoline park and dozens of food stalls.

In November 2019, the local authority purchased the lease for Lockmeadow.

Cllr Claudine Russell, lead member for communities, leisure and arts, said: “So that we can tailor events for our local audience the leisure team at Lockmeadow wants to hear from you.”

You can complete a survey here before Sunday, June 11.

Cllr Russell added: “We want to make sure the centre is providing the kind of entertainment the local community would like to see and enjoy.

“We would love to hear from everyone, whether you have visited Lockmeadow or not please give us your views.”

VR World’s website says it will allow single player modes, as well as accommodating birthday parties and corporate experiences.
