Thirteen accidents were reported on Kent's roads as heavy rain swept the county during this morning's rush hour.
Two people had to be cut free from a car after it overturned on the coastbound side of the M20 just before 8.30am between junctions 8 (Hollingbourne) and 9 (Ashford).
With more heavy showers being forecast for today and tomorrow the police were advising drivers to take extra care.
Their advice:
~Keep within designated speed limits and slow down where there is surface water.
~Use your lights so other drivers can see you.
~Keep a safe distance from other vehicles. ~Avoid sudden braking, acceleration and sharp turns.
