A van driver has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash on the M26 near Sevenoaks.

A van, car and truck were involved in the collision between J2a for the A20 and M25 near Sevenoaks at just after midday.

Traffic was held back in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land, and firefighters and ambulance crews helped to free a man trapped in a van.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to a London hospital. The truck driver had minor injuries.

Delays are being made worse after the earlier accident on the M25.

Both sections of the motorway have now been reopened.
