Officers investigating a report of an aggravated burglary in Maidstone have charged two men.

Terry Dampier, 27, of no fixed address and Jason Fergus, 24, of Barnhurst Road, Maidstone were arrested on Friday, December 22 and Saturday, January 6 respectively, on suspicion of committing an aggravated burglary at Elizabeth House, Maidstone on Tuesday December, 12.

Both were bailed to return to the police station and Mr Fergus was charged on Wednesday with aggravated burglary, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and common assault.

Mr Dampier was charged with aggravated burglary on Thursday.

They were both bailed to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 2.
