A FESTIVAL-goer who caused the deaths of three friends from Kent in a horrific car smash has been warned she faces an indefinite jail sentence.

Theresa Clarke, 28, was driving home from the V Festival in Staffordshire last year in a Vauxhall Zafira people carrier when she veered off the M25 near Brentwood, Essex.

Andrew Lucas, 21, of Lombardy Drive, Maidstone, Paul Smith, 26, also from Maidstone, and Joanna Walker, 18, from Staplehurst, were killed in the crash on August 21.

Clarke was left fighting for her life and had to be cut free from the car.

Two other passengers, Rob Merchant, 22, from Maidstone, and Jenny Oliver, from Ditton, in her early 20s, were also injured in the smash, which left the vehicle 120m from the motorway.

Clarke, of Nevill Road, Uckfield, East Sussex, admitted three counts of causing death by dangerous driving at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Judge David Radford warned Clarke that she could receive an indefinite sentence.

The case was adjourned for impact statements. Clarke was bailed until sentencing on September 14.

She was ordered not to sit in the front seat of any vehicle and disqualified from driving as part of her bail conditions.
