Shoppers in Jubilee Square in Maidstone reminded of true meaning of Easter

Around 100 people gathered in Jubilee Square in Maidstone town centre this morning for an open-air Good Friday service led by Andrew Sewell, the priest in charge of St Paul’s in Boxley Road.

Mr Sewell, who is the Area Dean, is also the chairman of the Churches Together project, which has organised a number of festivities for Easter, including a children’s egg hunt tomorrow.

He said: “It was a good turnout out. In fact we seem to get more and more people every year.”
