Tommy Warrilow says winning the remaining three games is the only way his Tonbridge side will guarantee a Ryman League, Premier Division play-off spot.

An Adrian Stone brace alongside goals from Ade Olorunda and Carl Rook earned a 4-0 win against Carshalton last Saturday to move Tonbridge into second place.

But the race for the play-offs is growing tighter by the weekend, with just three points separating Angels from seventh-placed Kingstonian.

Warrilow said: "We have just got to get three wins. That is the only way we can look at it at the moment and we must make sure we keep hold of that second place."

Angels could take a decisive step when they travel to sixth-placed Harrow Borough on Saturday followed by the visit of relegation-threatened Hastings on Bank Holiday Monday.

Warrilow added: "We just hope we can extend our stay in the play-off hunt and make sure our hopes are still alive as we enter the final week. It is in our hands."

The added incentive of a home game for their possible play-off semi-final is another factor driving Warrilow and the Angels squad on.

He added: "We want to make sure we are home for the play-offs. Teams like Bury and Lowestoft are also battling it out for a play-off spot and we don’t want to be making the long trips to play them.

"I’m sure their managers will be saying the same about us."

Warrilow is hoping to have Frannie Collin, Lee Browning and Lewis Taylor available for the Easter weekend fixtures after all were sidelined with injuries.
