Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow has persuaded Bristol Rovers to extend the loan deals for Michael Boateng and Kayne McClaggon.

Defender Boateng and striker McClaggon will be staying at Longmead for another month and Warrilow said: "Bristol Rovers have been great over the two young lads and they have fitted into the squad well."

Warrilow (pictured) was also hoping to tie up a loan deal with a player from another Football League yesterday (Thursday), adding: "It’s always good to freshen things up with a few new faces and the competition for places keeps people on their toes."

After three league wins in a row, Angels slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Truro City last Saturday when Warrilow’s side never recovered from a poor start.

They couldn’t blame the affects of a long journey because the squad had stayed in Cornwall hotel on Friday night and Warrilow admitted: "We kept giving the ball away in the first half."

Angels are on the road again on Saturday for an FA Trophy third qualifying round tie at Blue Square Bet North strugglers Bishops Stortford.

Warrilow wants his side to end November on a high, adding: "Until last week it had been a good month for us and we don’t want to end it with another defeat, especially as we’ve got a big game against Welling the week after."

Robbie Kember was having a fitness test on a hamstring injury last night (Thursday) while fellow midfielder Lee Browning should be fit to return after being forced to sit out the Truro game because of a neck problem.
