Tommy Warrilow wants his players to stay relaxed and focused ahead of a hectic final week which will determine whether Tonbridge make the Ryman League, Premier Division play-offs for the second successive season.

The Angels were due to face Harrow Borough at Longmead on Thursday and finish their home programme against Boreham Wood tomorrow, before finishing with trips to AFC Hornchurch, Wealdstone and Aveley.

Warrilow (pictured) said: "Our whole season’s work will depend on what happens in the next few days. Making the play-offs will be an outstanding achievement.

"It’s been a difficult season and we had an horrendous run when we couldn’t buy a result. Now we have hit form, everyone has got a spring in their step and there is an air of excitement around the place.

"We just missed out last season (losing in the semi-finals). It would be unbelievable if we can go a step further this time."

Tonbridge have surged up the table with nine wins and two draws since losing 4-1 at home to champions Dartford in mid-February and Warrilow is boosted by the return of striker Meshach Nugent, out since the beginning of last month after suffering a hairline shin fracture in the 3-0 win at Margate.

Warrilow expected him to be on the bench last night but on-loan Dartford striker Adam Burchell is ruled out after starting a two-week ban on Monday, following his sending off in a reserve team game earlier this season. He appealed successfully against the original 35-day punishment.

He added: "The games we have left are all difficult but I would rather play the teams at the top than the bottom. The only problem we have is that there is no recovery time between matches.

"My message to the players is look after yourselves, relax and be professional. I’m proud of all them and we know what’s ahead of us."
