Three charged in police op

Three men have been charged by police investigating burglary and vehicle crime in west Kent.

Luke Moses Steel, 21, of Melrose Close, Maidstone was charged with burglary, which happened on Wednesday, February 6, in Maidstone. He was also charged with fraud and released on bail to appear at Maidstone Magistrates Court on April 24.

A 15-year-old boy from Tonbridge was also charged with theft from a house in Headcorn, between February 23 and 25. The youth, who cannot be named, was charged with the theft and possession of cannabis and will appear before Maidstone Youth Court on Monday.

A 17-year-old boy from Orpington was charged with a burglary in Sevenoaks on Thursday, February 14. The boy, who cannot be named, appeared before court yesterday and was remanded in custody pending a hearing before Sevenoaks Youth Court today. All three were charged as a result of the county-wide Operation Castle.
