Six arrested in drugs swoop

KENT Police arrested six people during a drugs operation in Maidstone after intelligence was gathered by local officers.

A team of ten officers raided a property off Buckland Road on Tuesday afternoon.

One of those arrested was later cautioned for possession of a class A drug. The other five have been bailed pending further enquiries.

PC Carl Fray, who was in charge of the operation, said: “We are determined to clamp down on people who possess, produce or supply class A drugs.

"This operation was the culmination of months of planning and intelligence gathering by the team.

"I would to thank local residents for their help in putting this operation together. I hope this sends out a strong message to anyone producing, supplying or using class A drugs in Mid Kent that we will not tolerate it and they will be caught and brought to justice”
