Service to celebrate life of interior designer

A SERVICE of thanksgiving for the life of top interior designer David Ashton-Bostock is to be held in January.

Mr Ashton-Bostock, oft Danes Bottom Place, Wormshill, near Maidstone, died in November aged 72. His clients over the years included celebrities including Richard Burton, the Beatles and Lord Lew Grade.

Mr Ashton studied at Maidstone College of Art and the Byham Shaw School of Art in London before later setting up his interior design business. He was also a painter who had exhibitions in London and Paris.

During his life he also did considerable charity work and was vice-president of Alexandra Rose Day, the umbrella charity which supports smaller local charities in the UK.

The service takes place at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London, SW1 at 12 noon on Friday, January 17.
