Could you spend several weeks kissing an ex-Hollyoaks actor?

Open auditions take place this weekend to cast the part of Jill, the female lead in this year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, at the Hazlitt Arts Centre, Maidstone.

Jill will play opposite actor Jake Hendriks who, until September, appeared in the Channel 4 soap as priest Fr Kieron Hobbs.

Panto producers are looking for a female aged 16 or over to play Jack’s love interest, who is kidnapped by the giant and taken up the beanstalk to his castle in the clouds.

Anyone who wants the part must be available between Wednesday, November 19 and Sunday, January 4, and be an excellent singer and actress.

The auditions will be similar to the X-Factor talent show with different rounds for each candidate, beginning with singing.

Auditions take place on Saturday with registration from 11am to 1pm.

Tickets for the panto, which runs from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, January 4, are available on 01622 758611 or log onto www.hazlittartscentre.co.uk
