Reward offered to find serial dog killer

An animal lover has offered a £1,000 reward leading to the conviction of those responsible for the deaths of several dogs dumped at a beauty spot.

Three dead German shepherd dogs and a Jack Russell terrier were found during the past month and other dogs were discovered in the previous weeks at Wouldham Common.

The body of a Jack Russell terrier, which had suffered cuts as well as injuries to its head and legs, was found last week.

One of the adult German shepherd dogs had a broken back, broken leg and cuts all over its body.

Two six-month-old puppies have been found dead in the same area over the past few weeks, with similar injuries and a dead Staffordshire bull terrier has also been found.

The dogs were collected by a dog warden and the RSPCA informed.

Inspector Alana Chapman said: “We are grateful that someone has come forward to offer a reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever is doing this. We would urge anyone with any information to call us immediately.”

Those responsible could face up to six months in prison and a fine of up to £20,000.

Anyone with any information should contact the RSPCA in confidence on 03001234999.
