Radio Caroline pops back onto the airwaves

RADIO Caroline, the pirate station which launched the career of Tony Blackburn and Kenny Everett in the 1960s, is back on the air at a Maidstone studio.

The station became famous for broadcasting from boats but is now beached at The Maidstone Studios in Vinters Park. It is available to Sky Digital owners who will have to manually tune their receivers to listen in.

Fans of the station, which used to be raided on-air by police and was twice shut down when its boats sank, can get instructions on how to tune-in on the Internet at www.radiocaroline.co.uk/Schedule.htm
