Police to interview driver over death

A man is to be questioned in connection with the death of a pensioner who went missing from a care home and was found dead on a dual carriageway.

Alfred Cole, 82, was found dead at about 2.45am last Wednesday July 25on the A249 at Bobbing.

It is believed he had been hit by a vehicle travelling to Maidstone after going missing from a Faversham care home.

The driver of a lorry recovered from France is due to be interviewed by police. but has not yet been arrested. Mr Cole had previously been found in Cardiff, after leaving his care home on an earlier occasion.
