Arriva has announced the suspension of its Park and Ride service in Maidstone from Monday.

The decision follows a big drop in customer numbers today following the start of the second Covid lockdown.

The bus company said the suspension was a temporary measure that would last until further notice.

Passengers with valid Park and Ride tickets can use them on other Arriva bus services in and out of Maidstone town centre.

The Park and Ride service usually travels a circular route between the London Road Park and Ride car park and the Willington Street car park.

The two car parks will be closed from Monday.

Alternative buses are services 71, 71A or 72 running from London Road.

Or for Willington Street, services 4 or 11 running from Ashford Road
