Mystery surrounds Securicor van rescue

EMERGENCY services had to rescue a man who had become trapped in his van on a Kent high street on Monday.

Firefighters and paramedics surrounded the vehicle, which was parked on Maidstone High Street, at 1.20pm to try and find the best way of getting the man out safely.

It is not yet known how he became trapped.

The man was freed after about 10 minutes and taken back to his depot where he was checked by paramedics.
