Gillingham manager Martin Allen has predicted even better things to come from his team when they are at home again this weekend.

Allen, pictured, saw his side comfortably overcome Aldershot 4-0 at Priestfield to cement their place at the top of League 2 last week, but knows his team can do better and highlighted the rich pool of talent in his squad that aren’t making the starting 11 at present.

"Callum Davies isn’t in at the moment and he’s a good player," said Allen.

"(Andy) Frampton and (Danny) Jackman are good players, Charlie Lee is a good player, (Ben) Strevens is very good, (Bradley) Dack is very good and (Robbie) Findley is very good and so is Connor Essam.

"But at the moment they can’t get in our starting XI. Deon Burton was sub as well and he is good.

"Burton will be a hard game, they have some good players and a good young manager (Gary Rowett), but I think we will play even better."
