Kent Police investigating report that a man was threatened outside Sainsbury's in Romney Place, Maidstone

A man was threatened with a screwdriver outside Sainsbury's.

Police are investigating the incident which took place at 9.45am on Monday, outside the supermarket in Romney Place, Maidstone.

A spokesman for Kent Police said it was alleged that "a man described as holding a screwdriver, threatened another man who was sitting outside the store.

"Nobody was injured and the suspect left the scene towards the bus depot."
