A man in his 20s had to be airlifted to hospital after suffering a neck injury, which is believed to have happened while he was sledging.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called to the quarry near Kilnbarn Lane, Ditton at just before 3pm yesterday.

A land ambulance had been unable to reach the man, so the air ambulance was called. He was airlifted to the A&E unit at the Tubridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
