Ambulance crews and police called to collapsed man in High Street, Maidstone

Police crews and ambulances were called to assist a man who had collapsed in Maidstone town centre.

Witnesses spotted emergency services helping a man on the pavement outside Andrew Lee and Co in the high street, at 3.45pm today.

A spokesman from the ambulance service said: "We were called shortly before 3.30pm today to reports a person had been found collapsed in Maidstone High Street.

"Ambulance crews attended and the man was assessed and treated before being taken to Maidstone Hospital."
