Maidstone United announce pre-season friendly with League 2 Accrington Stanley

Maidstone United have confirmed League 2 Accrington Stanley will be their first pre-season opponents at Ashford next month.

The Lancashire club visit Homelands on Saturday, July 11, stopping off on their way home from a week-long stay at an Army base at Colchester in Essex.

Stones joint-boss Lloyd Hume said: "Alan (Walker) and I know their manager John Coleman well, and we have been badgering him for sometime to come down.

"We did our coaching badges together, and it will be good to see him again."
