Maidstone produced a disappointing performance against Tunbridge Wells in London 1 South on Saturday, losing 27-0 at Mote Park.

The home side were practically at full strength and they went into the game confident of securing their first win of the season against a side which has struggled at this level of late.

However, Maidstone turned in an incoherent, muddled performance, were poor in the line-out and frequently handed Wells possession which they used to punish them.

Wells took the lead with a first-minute penalty and never looked back. After adding a drop goal and a converted try they were 13-0 ahead at the break.

The visitors added two converted tries in the second half to wrap up a comfortable win.
