Maidstone missed two late penalty flicks in their goalless draw with Bromley & Beckenham in the East Women’s League Premier Division last Saturday.

The match was a mistake-strewn contest from both sides, with the game regularly breaking down in midfield.

Maidstone dominated proceedings as a result of Bromley’s game plan, which consisted of packing the defence to reduce shooting options.

Things were made tougher for Maidstone in the second half after they were reduced to 10 players following yellow cards for Lizzie Daniels and Rachel Thompson.

However, Maidstone had two prime opportunities to put the result their way with two penalty flicks awarded in the last 10 minutes. The first was put onto the post by Daniels, the second was saved by the Bromley keeper from Cara Brogan.

Maidstone make the tough trip to Chelmsford on Saturday.

Chris Bassano-Harper claimed his third goal of the season for Maidstone 1sts as they drew 1-1 at Teddington in South League Premier, Division 1.

The result leaves the sides joint-bottom after both picked up their first points in the draw. Maidstone entertain Spencer on Saturday.
