A lorry overturned and blocked a road in both directions.

Drivers using the A20 Ashford Road near Leeds Castle, between Ashford and Maidstone, were facing delays.

The accident on the bend near The Park Gate Inn also resulted in fuel being spilled.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police were called at around 11am near the junction with Broomfield Road.

“Officers are currently in attendance and a road closure is in place.”

Passengers using the Stagecoach X10 bus were also facing delays.

It is not known whether anyone was injured in the crash.
